Nebivolol belongs to a group of drugs called beta-blockers. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation.

Use exactly as directed by your physician.

Nebivolol may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
•headache
•tiredness
•weakness
•dizziness
•diarrhea
•nausea
•stomach pain
•difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
•numbness, burning, or tingling in the hands, arms, feet, or legs
Some side effects can be serious. The following symptoms are uncommon, but if you experience any of them, call your doctor immediately:
•chest pain
•slow heart rate
•difficulty breathing
•unusual weight gain
•rash
•swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
Nebivolol may cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication.

Tell your doctor about every medication, vitamin or herbal product you take.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.
Symptoms of overdose may include:
•slow heart rate
•dizziness or fainting
•shakiness
•sweating
•confusion
•nervousness, irritability, or sudden changes in behavior or mood
•headache
•numbness or tingling around the mouth
•weakness
•pale skin
•sudden hunger
•clumsy or jerky movements
•difficulty breathing
•seizures
•tiredness
•vomiting

Do not skip doses or stop taking Nebivolol without first talking to your doctor. Stopping suddenly may make your condition worse or cause other serious heart problems such as severe chest pain or heart attack. You may need to use less and less before you stop the medication completely. If you need surgery, tell the surgeon ahead of time that you are using Nebivolol.
Keep using Nebivolol as directed, even if you feel well. High blood pressure often has no symptoms. You may need to use blood pressure medication for the rest of your life.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Nebivolol is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).

Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.

Nebivolol may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.

You should not take Nebivolol if you are allergic to nebivolol, or if you have:
severe liver disease; or
a heart problem such as heart block, sick sinus syndrome, slow heart rate, or heart failure.
