	Description Mebeverine; an antimuscarinic, belongs to a group of compounds known as musculotropic antispasmodics. Colospa relaxes the smooth muscle in the gut by its direct action on it, preventing nerve signals going to the intestine muscles which causes the gut muscle to relax, preventing painful muscle spasm(s).
