Solifenacin is a urinary antispasmodic. It is used in the treatment of overactive bladder.

Use Solifenacin exactly as directed by your doctor. It generally takes about 4 weeks for optimum results to show.

Contact your doctor if the following side effects become bothersome:
blurred vision
constipation
cough
dry eyes
dry mouth
heartburn
nausea
upper abdominal pain
vomiting
Check with your doctor immediately if you experience the following:
constipation for more than 3 days
fatigue
high blood pressure
severe abdominal pain
signs of a urinary tract infection
swelling of the feet, ankles, or lower leg
Stop taking Solifenacin immediately and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following:
inability to urinate
signs of a severe allergic reaction (e.g., hives; difficulty breathing; or swelling of the mouth, lips, tongue, or throat)

solifenacin can interact with a number of other medicines. Please inform your doctor if you use:
amiodarone
anti-HIV medications
antihistamines
atropine
atypical antipsychotics
azole antifungals
benztropine
clarithromycin
cyclobenzaprine
dasatinib
dexamaethasone
donepezil
flavoxate
galantamine
grapefruit juice
ipratropium
monoamine oxidase inhibitors
nabilone
narcotic medications
nefazodone
nicardipine
orphenadrine
medications that cause drowsiness
potassium chloride, potassium supplements
quinidine
rifabutin
rifampin
rivastigmine
scopolamine
seizure medications
sotalol
St. John's wort
thioridazine
tiatropium
tricyclic antidepressants
verapamil

If an overdose is suspected, please call your doctor or emergency services right away.

Solifenacin may cause a heart rhythm disturbance called QT prolongation.
Solifenacin causes a decrease in sweating, which is one of the body's way of cooling off. Use with caution in very hot weather.
Please discuss with your doctor if you suffer from kidney or liver impairment.
Solifenacin is not to be usd during pregnancy or while breast feeding.
This medicine has not been tested for safe use for children.

If you have missed a dose, please take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, please skip the missed dose, and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.

Solifenacin is used to relieve symptoms associated with an overactive bladder, such as urinary urgency, urinary frequency, and urge incontinence (leaking or wetting caused by an unstoppable urge to urinate).

Store at room temperature, away from direct heat or moisture.

Do NOT use Solifenacin if you:
are allergic to Solifenacin or any of the ingredients of the medicine
have gastroparesis
have glaucoma
have urinary retention
are required to have regular dialysis.
